Dragon Boat Race 2026

The highly anticipated Dragon Boat Race at Himley Hall was a fantastic success, raising an incredible £12,000 for the Dudley Group NHS Charity! Despite the challenging weather conditions, the determination and team spirit never wavered. In fact, the rain only fuelled the competitive spirit, with every team giving their all to beat the competition and make the day unforgettable.

The Charity had five teams rowing for them; communications & careers, Corbett Outpatients Centre, pain management ward, corporate nursing team and our headline sponsor, Jackwolf Group who made the final 8 in the race.  All teams made a strong splash, dedicated to taking on the water alongside 30 other boats in a spirited day of competition and teamwork.

The event was made possible through the support of local sponsors alongside Jackwolf Group, we had support from Barrat Homes, IPL Schoeller and Allianz Trade.

Alongside the racing, attendees and colleagues enjoyed a lively day filled with entertainment, food stalls and family-friendly activities, the Dudley Group NHS Charity Mascot Aati also made an appearance and was a huge hit with the children.

A huge congratulations goes to everyone who took part and represented the Dudley Group NHS Charity so proudly. Thank you to everyone who cheered them on from the sidelines and donated to all the teams. Well done to all involved for an incredible effort on and off the water!
