Our volunteers form an integral part of the Dudley Group NHS Charity team.
How you can help
Our volunteers raise significant funds, represent us at events and around the Trust, support our office functions, and raise the profile of the Dudley Group NHS Charity across the community.
Charity Mascot volunteer
We are looking for a volunteer to be the ‘face’ of the charity! You will be representing ‘Aati’ the friendly fox, our new Charity Mascot. You will be interacting with members of the public, raising awareness of the charity, and having your picture taken with children and families.
Charity Hub volunteer
You can help build a welcoming atmosphere in our Charity Hub [link to Charity Hub page] at our Russells Hall Hospital by chatting to staff, patients, families, and members of the public about what we do. We’re open on weekdays between 8am and 4pm and currently sell branded goods, greetings cards, children’s toys and accept donations.
Events volunteer
Do you want to support events [link to events page] such as our Superhero 5k Fun Run & Family Fun Day, our Glitter Ball or the NHS Big Tea? Tasks will range from setting up stalls, cheering on fundraisers, selling merchandise, carrying collection buckets, and engaging with the public. Ideal for volunteers who require some flexibility or for experience on a CV.
Collection tin coordinator
Could you place a few tins in your local area? This role requires you to manage your own sites, collect in the tins when they get full, or at least every few weeks and replace with an empty one. This role can fit easily around your commitments.
Community support volunteer
Could you help promote the work of Dudley Group NHS Charity by delivering charity flyers and posters to businesses in your local area? This is a chance to talk to the community about the fantastic work that takes place in our Trust and is ideal if you can only support us for an hour or two every month.
Corporate volunteering
We currently offer ad-hoc volunteering opportunities for teams from businesses. This could be volunteering as a hospital volunteer on a ward or helping to revamp one of our outdoor gardens.
