Twenty-two staff members from Dudley Group and Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trusts joined forces to take on the mighty Snowdon in an inspiring overnight challenge.
Setting off at 1:30am on Sunday 11th July, the team trekked through the night, reaching the summit in time to witness a breathtaking sunrise. Despite strong winds and challenging conditions at the top, the spectacular views made for a truly magical and unforgettable experience.
As the weather deteriorated, hikers faced gale-force winds during the descent, making parts of the journey particularly demanding. However, thanks to their determination, teamwork and resilience, every participant successfully completed the challenge.
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Sunrise Snowdon Challenge!
The Dudley colleagues have also achieved an incredible fundraising milestone, raising more than £7,000. The funds will support the Children’s Outpatients Department Garden, the Forget Me Not Unit, Ridge Hill Stroke Unit, and the Dudley Community Heart Failure Department, helping to make a positive difference for patients and their families.
