Winners of our charity cricket match!

The highly anticipated Dudley Group NHS Charity and Your City & Metropolitan Hospitals Charity T20 cricket match between consultants from the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust and Sandwell West Birmingham NHS Trust came to a breathtaking conclusion on Sunday 11^th May to win the Chairman’s trophy. Sandwell emerged as the overall winners with just one point, in a thrilling match that kept spectators entertained.  Both teams put up fantastic performances with both bat and ball.  Gary Crowe, deputy chair of the Dudley Group and chair of the Dudley Group NHS Charity committee had the honours of presenting the chairman’s trophy to the winners.

The match, which took place at Pedmore cricket club, was witnessed by crowds of supporters, who were cheering non-stop throughout the game. The sunshine brought out spectators including families and children to watch the game and enjoy a BBQ, drinks, and ice cream on a very warm afternoon.

Aati, our charity mascot, made a special appearance by welcoming and entertaining the crowd.

The Dudley Group NHS Charity and Your City & Metropolitan Hospitals Charity were in attendance to support our respective teams and to raise vital funds with merchandise sales and a raffle. So far, the has event raised over £600 with additional funds to come! Thank you to everyone who participated or attended!
